People come to the Alexander Technique for many different reasons.   Because it is a technique for mental and physical re-education, it can have a positive effect on a wide range of stresses and ailments, including back, neck or shoulder pain and other muscular/skeletal problems, headaches, RSI, breathing difficulties, sports and performance strain, stress related conditions, anxiety and depression.  It also works to enhance performance, improve vitality and general wellbeing.

On the following pages you can find out a little more about the Alexander Technique, its benefits and how and where you can learn.  You can also read about me and my own personal Alexander story, as well as the testimonials of others.  I also offer some specific information about stress and how to reduce it.

But no amount of written commentary can really explain what the Alexander Technique is and how it works.  It has to be experienced.  That is why I encourage potential pupils to come along for a trial lesson.  I look forward to working with you.

CAMBRIDGE
I am a Teacher of the Alexander Technique and offer private lessons in Helions Bumpstead, near Cambridge, close to the borders of Cambridgeshire, Essex and Suffolk.

The Alexander Technique teaches skilful "use of the self": how we move, how we breathe, how we learn, how we organize our awareness and focus of attention and, above all, how we choose our reactions in increasingly demanding situations.
